The Creation
This site was created by my wonderful family, with help from friends, as a surprise as I embark on a new journey of helping couples of all forms celebrate their wedding their way. This is what they had to say:
Alex Ewens - “Merry Christmas, Mum! I am so unbelievably proud of you for taking on this new role that you get so much joy from. You’re an amazing communicator who can always help people find the right words to say. The hard work and dedication you will put into each and every wedding you officiate will help make the day so special for all of the couples. You have all of the love and support of your entire family, we hope this gift shows that. Love always, Alex.”
Emma Thompson - “Merry Christmas Jane! Thank you for being the rock of the family and for being the best mother in law, a gal could ever hope for. You’re an inspiration to us all and I love how you show us time and time again to chase after our dreams and to challenge ourselves. Anybody would be lucky to have you as their celebrant and I can’t wait to see how this journey unfolds. Lots of love, Emma xx"
Rita - "Merry Christmas Jane, Wow another year has flown past, even though covid did its best to slow us down. So although 2020 has seen us being in locked down for some of it, messed with our special brand of “walk talk” catch ups and thrown us into a whole lot of new experiences, one thing stays true, my complete enjoyment and privilege in being your friend. Look forward to walking and talking side by side in the redwoods soon. Rita"
Megan - "Meri Kirihimete Jane! What a year 2020 has been, even without the 'c' word. On top of your other commitments, you have had a great start to your role as a celebrant. I envisage many more happy couples in the future! Wishing you much success for 2021 and beyond! May the closeness of friends and the comfort of home, renew your spirits this Christmas...but failing that, get into the Christmas spirits: whisky, vodka, & gin. Arohanui, Megan xo"
Dylan - "Dearest Mum You have been an amazing mother to all of us throughout the years and though we have not made it easy on you at times you have always had a positive attitude and always cared for us. I am very happy that you will be the one to officiate our wedding. Merry Christmas, I hope you love being a celebrant and let us know if you need help with the website. With love, Dylan"
Logan - "Merry Christmas, Mum I know we took the design of your brand out of your hands but here is some rationale behind my choices. Starting with the use of your initials - I wanted to create something that worked as a classy monogram for fancier weddings, but also simple for more intimate ones. The circle around the monogram is to represent the obvious and traditional wedding rings, but it isn't a fully closed circle because you are the one helping bringing the two ends together. And finally the colours are to represent the Tui and Kowhai - 2 things that mean enough to you that you would permanently ink them on your body. With digital design things can evolve and change to better suit how you want to be represented, I hope this is a good start. Love always Logan"
Rex - "To my darling wife. This gift we all hope is the next step on your celebrant journey. You will enjoy building this site into a gateway to a prosperous business. Hope this Christmas brings you all the joy you truly deserve and the New Year brings you opportunities to make new acquaintances' lives all the more rewarding for having met you as their marriage celebrant.
Love you always. Rex xxxxx."
Judith - "Merry Christmas Jane!! I'm so excited for you to embark on this new journey as a celebrant! You are such an amazing and caring person, people will be very lucky to have you be a part of their special day. I know how much effort you put into making people's celebrations of love very unique and I am sure you will be equally amazing with any kind of ceremony you might do in the future. Wishing you all the best for this new adventure!"
